About Bianca

In 2013 Bianca switched from playing softball to playing baseball, after a former teammate invited her to a tryout for a mixed baseball team.
Whilst enjoying the different game play compared to softball, she eventually decided to leave softball behind and invest all her time in baseball.
This was a smart move as she was selected for the Women’s National Baseball team in the same year.

Regular practice with the National team eventually led to a spot on the roster for the World Championship in Miyazaki, Japan. However the experience of this tournament was lost on her, when she broke her ankle during a tournament whilst stealing third base four weeks prior to departure to Japan.

This was a set-back, but nonetheless she eventually made the roster again for the World Championship in Gijan City, South Korea.
Which in turn resulted in a good tournament. Overall she had 19 at bats, six hits, of which one double. She scored 4 times and batted in two runs.

Currently Bianca has once again made the cut, and again will be added to the definitive roster. Now, in 2018 she will be heading to Viera, Florida in the United States of America for the 8th edition of the Women’s Baseball World Cup.
